Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to buy through your website?

Yes. Buying any Kabiosile product through our website is 100% safe. Our official retailer, CDBaby.com, accepts all major credit cards and guarantees secure online shopping. CDBaby uses the most powerful privacy systems available. Nobody ever sees your credit card info. It is charged, and immediately erased - never stored on their system at all.

I feel uncomfortable using my credit card online.  Can I still buy your discs?

Sure.  Our official retailer, CDBaby, offers flexible purchasing options.  You can purchase online using PayPal instead of a credit card.  Or you can place your order by phone, FAX, or regular mail and pay by check, domestic or international money order, cash or chocolate.

I don’t have a credit card.  How do I order products without one?

No worries. Our partner, CDBaby, accepts checks, money orders, international money orders and cash in addition to all major credit cards. All orders can be phoned, faxed or mailed.

When will my DVD or CD arrive?

In the USA, if you purchase one CD or DVD, CDBaby sends it via first class mail. Your disc will arrive in 3-5 days. If you get more than one disc (ours or anyone else’s), they send it by priority mail. Your discs will arrive in 2-3 days. If you’re in a real rush, you can ask for overnight shipping.

Outside of the USA, CDBaby uses Global Priority Mail, which takes 2-6 days, depending on where you are.

For international orders CDBaby can remove the plastic jewel case or DVD box and send you just the disc and paper artwork if you want. This saves you postage and customs doesn’t usually open such packages, either.

What happens if my disc arrives damaged in the mail?

Just let us know and we will send you another one immediately, free of charge.

How much does it cost to ship the disc?

Please see the table of CDBaby’s shipping charges

“This amazing new recording is performed by powerful musicians and recorded beautifully…[Alfredo Calvo’s]…mastery of Lucumi praise poetry and raw power shine, and the chorus shines with him. The drumming is phenomenal, embodying the beauty and power of Matanzas bata….If you haven’t experienced this music in person in Matanzas, you have to hear this CD to believe it.”
Mark Corrales

“Beautifully recorded and wonderfully sung by Alfredo Calvo Cano and Alberto Puñales Cabrera, this may be the best recorded document of Bembe as it is performed in Matanzas. Rare material. Highly recommended.”
Bruce Polin

“…[One] of the most invigorating illustrations of Orisha music…to come out of Matanzas since Lydia Cabrera’s and Josefina Tarafa’s 1950s recordings recently released by the Smithsonian Institute.”
Willie Ramos

“Very interesting display of living history.
[It] is very interesting to see how the Africans in Cuba were able to keep a very large and important part of the culture intact. The performance was very ritmo Africano. You should also view the DVD of the same name to see it! Remarkable!”
